Susan Hatton was born and raised in Maids Moreton and has spent her life in the area. Her lifelong love of poetry shines forth in this collection. Her poems are thoroughly rooted in her environment and experi-ence and her delight in life. She understands, better than most, that poetry can celebrate the ordinary and explain the extraordinary. Her language is simple and direct and full of charm and wit. As someone who has lived a long life she is occasionally nostalgic for the past, but what is wrong with that? Readers will enjoy these poems.
